Child Safe Standards

About the NSW Child Safe Scheme

On 1 February 2023, the NSW Child Safe Scheme commenced. Our organisation now must demonstrate how we are implementing the Child Safe Standards. These Standards are a key recommendation from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. 

Handprints ELC is committed to implementing the Standards and to making our organisation safer for children. We understand that this requires strong leadership, collaboration with families and communities, and sustained, collective effort and action.

We believe all organisations working with children should be child safe, and we want to provide children the environment, the education, and the care they deserve.

Handprints welcome the start of this scheme and have started implementing the Child Safe Standards to make our services even safer for your children.
